When it comes to Black Friday retailer projections, bigger is better, at least according to social media and digital analytics company Socialbakers.
Socialbakers analyzed the top five retailers in the United States in terms of number of Facebook fans, number of fan posts in the past 30 days, and average monthly engagement rate (see chart below).
Socialbakers said retailers with the most Facebook fans draw the most engagement, allowing the companies to use the social network to share information on sales, special offers, and holiday hours.

Savvy retailers are combining traditional banner ads and Web pages dedicated to Black Friday specials with Facebook posting and tweets about deals, coupons, merchandise, and hot tips. This enables them to interact and respond to consumers instantaneously, offering them a massive competitive advantage that converts to increased sales and loyalty at Thanksgiving.
