A Facebook movement is underway to boycott the annual Basilica Block Party in Minneapolis, sponsored by the city’s Catholic Archdiocese. But is the effort in danger of killing the music festival?

Unlikely. The Facebook page, “Say No to the Basilica Block Party,” urges fans not to attend the annual musical event to protest the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis’ support of a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. The page has nearly 8,000 fans as of this writing.
