Facebook Now Filtering Spam Wall Posts On Pages

Facebook appears to be testing a new spam filter for Facebook Pages, providing a new column within Pages called “Spam”. While we haven’t been able to tell if the system is based on a new automatic spam filtering system or if it is for all manually flagged posts, it’s interesting that the company has created a new spam wall. It definitely illustrates how large of a problem Facebook Page spam has become.

While it was probably inevitable that Facebook would begin implementing more obvious spam filters, this is among one of the more public types of spam filters.
