Lionsgate teamed up with Facebook commerce provider Milyoni to make Abduction the first feature film to ever debut on Facebook the same day of its release on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital download.
Abduction was released in theaters this past September, and the thriller was directed by John Singleton and stars Taylor Lautner, best-known for his role in the Twilight series.
Facebook users who pay $3.99 via PayPal or credit card to view the film can use Milyoni’s Social Cinema technology to watch Abduction with friends, comment, chat, answer poll questions, and answer trivia questions, with correct answers unlocking an exclusive interview with Lautner.
