According to a report from Reuters, Facebook mobile usage for June showed an 18 percent increase in the U.S. and 22 percent in the U.K.

At the first quarterly earnings report in May, Facebook reported a worldwide monthly active userbase on mobile of 751 million — 189 million of whom are mobile-only. Mobile ads represented roughly 30 percent of Facebook’s revenue stream.

This would likely lead to an even more positive report for mobile revenue and usage when Facebook announces its second quarterly earnings report July 24.

James Quarles, Facebook’s regional director for Britain and Southern Europe, talked with Reuters about the company’s growing mobile userbase:

We see this as a fantastic opportunity with empirical evidence of people staying engaged on mobile phones and using Facebook. As people are away and on holiday, it provides a different opportunity for brands to think differently about Facebook. … When people are that engaged, checking their Facebook 14 times a day, if advertisers can deliver the right message to the right audience you can really see some business impact.
