Launched less than two weeks after the update of Facebook Messenger for Android, the new version of the application for Apple devices includes support for iOS 6, support for the increased screen size of the iPhone 5, and the addition of chat bubbles, making conversations look more like text message exchanges than email, as they did previously.
Version 2.0 of Facebook Messenger for iOS also allows users to swipe left anywhere within the app to see which friends are available for messaging, and to add friends users exchange messages with the most to the top of their favorites lists. And the social network promised “improved speed and reliability.”
