Facebook Mentions for Verified Profiles?

Soon it won’t just be for celebrities anymore: Facebook confirmed to Josh Constine of TechCrunch that verified profiles will gain access to its Facebook Mentions application.

Soon it won’t just be for celebrities anymore: Facebook confirmed to Josh Constine of TechCrunch that verified profiles will gain access to its Facebook Mentions application.

Facebook rolled out Facebook Mentions in July 2014 with the aim of enabling celebrities and public figures, or their page administrators, to monitor mentions and respond to fans via mobile devices.

According to Constine, the news about Facebook Mentions being extended to verified pages was revealed in responses to inquiries about the availability of Live for Facebook Mentions, the video-streaming feature the social network introduced last week as a way for celebrities and public figures to share real-time streamed video with their fans.

Expanding the availability of Facebook Mentions to the media would give journalists powerful tools to enhance their coverage.
