Facebook is cracking down on ads next to offensive content

Facebook has come under fire recently, with advertisers being pressured to pull out, as ads show up next to offensive content and in  groups and pages with questionable material. The company announced Friday that it will strengthen its advertising review process to ensure that it happens less frequently.

Last month, major brands in the U.K. such as Nissan and Nationwide were pressured to pull advertising from Facebook after sidebar ads showed up on pages that glorified violence against women.
