U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters Wins Dems' Facebook Contest
Congresswoman Maxine Waters was named the most valued player for growing her Facebook fan base more than any of her Democratic colleagues in the U.S. House of Representatives.
California Congresswoman Maxine Waters was named the most valued player among Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives for the growth of her Facebook fan base.
Representative Waters rocketed to first from a previous sixth place ranking in the House Democrats’ annual new media competition.
The contest ranks individual and committee offices by the number of new Facebook fans, Twitter followers and YouTube subscribers generated during the three week challenge. Republicans in the House ran a similar social networking competition earlier this year.
The winners were announced by Minority Whip Steny Hoyer of Maryland.
