Facebook Matches Email Addresses To User Names

Facebook announced that it is updating its Facebook email account addresses to match the Facebook user names people have chosen.

Facebook announced that it is updating its messaging addresses to match the unique URLs users have selected for their profiles.

Users who have already created Facebook email addresses will not be affected by the change, but those who haven’t will see the update rolled out to them over the next few weeks.

Facebook introduced the user name feature in June 2009, and Facebook email debuted in November 2010.
