It’s not quite The Social Network, but “Facebook Follies,” a one-hour documentary about the consequences of sharing personal information on the social network, debuts on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel this Television Thursday.

“Facebook Follies” features interviews with people whose reckless Facebook postings resulted in lost jobs, marriages, and freedom.

All is not doom and gloom, however, as the documentary also shares the story of a man who reconnected with his family after 50 years thanks to Facebook.

“Facebook Follies” was directed by Halifax documentary-maker Geoff D’Eon (This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Talking to Americans) and produced by Edward Peill from Halifax-based Tell Tale Productions.
