Facebook Continues to Take Over the Media, One Newspaper at a Time
The conspiracy theorists who believe Facebook will eventually control all media saw their fears move one step closer to reality, as Vacaville, Calif.-based newspaper The Reporter announced that under its new system, all online comments must be posted via Facebook. From the Bay Area News Group-owned paper’s announcement:
The Reporter is adding a new way for our readers to comment on the stories we publish.
The new reader commenting procedure will, we hope, allow for more thoughtful commentary from our readers and continue to expand community dialog on local issues of importance.
