Anonymous Says It's Not Attacking Facebook Saturday
A supposedly official Anonymous Twitter account said that the hacktivists will not attack Facebook this Saturday, disputing a videotaped threat uploaded to YouTube.
A supposedly official Anonymous Twitter account said that the hacktivists won’t attack Facebook this Saturday.
The @AnonOps account disputed a videotaped threat uploaded to a supposedly less-official account on YouTube, tweeting, “Again we must say that we will not attack #Facebook! Again the mass media lie.”
The YouTube video threatened a January 28 attack, going so far as to include in its description a URL for downloading a program that would reportedly enable users to crash the social network’s servers.
