Execution Labs Raises $6M to Help Growth of Game Studios
Game accelerator and investment platform Execution Labs has announced it has secured CAD $6 million in Series A funding, in a round led by Toronto-based Corus Entertainment Inc. Existing investors BDC Capital, Real Ventures and White Star Capital also participated in the round. This funding will help Execution Labs expand its presence and existing services by now offering independent game developers two different programs: the Pre-Production Accelerator and the Finishing Fund.
The Pre-Production Accelerator builds upon the company’s current program by offering CAD $50,000 in funding to developers in a three-month program, alongside a shared workplace and mentorship opportunities for game studios that have yet to enter the full production phase of their game’s development.
