ESPN Overhauls Popular ScoreCenter App
ESPN took its popular ScoreCenter app and loaded it with a whole bunch of new features, design and even a new name: SportsCenter.
Calling it an “all-new, next-generation app,” ESPN said the app will still deliver score alerts in real-time to users, as well as breaking news, more video and new social media integration.
Personalization is a big part of the new app. The Favorites tab lets fans follow team specific news, while a new “inbox” aggregates all the favorite team news and related content into one sleek news scroll.
ESPN said that consumers accessed more of its content via mobile devices than online for the first time in September.
