How Are Educational Institutions Using Social Media? [INFOGRAPHIC]

Did you know that 80 percent of U.S. educational institutions are now using Twitter, with more than four in ten (43 percent) saying they’ve had on- and offline success with the micro-blogging network?

Twitter trails only Facebook (96 percent) in usage amongst educational institutions, with engaging alumni (83 percent), improving brand image (77 percent) and increasing awareness (60 percent) listed as their primary social media goals.

Overall, 85 percent of respondents said that they considered their implementation of social media to have been successful.
