E-ink Reports Revenues up for January 2011

E-ink Corp, maker of the screens used in the Kindle, Sony, and other ereaders, released a report today on its January revenues.  In spite of predictions that tablets would kill off ereaders, E-ink revenues were NT$3.88 billion ($134.21 million USD) for January 2011, up 5% from December and 147% on year.

This is a fairly good increase considering that considering that E-ink’s total revenues for last year were NT$25.18 billion. I’m expecting E-ink to continue to increase this coming year; they don’t have any real competition yet from Mirasol, Pixel Qi, or Liquavista.
