In Disney Magic Kingdoms, players work alongside Disney and Disney Pixar characters like Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Woody and others to restore happiness to their park. Players are led through the game by a series of quests, which may ask them to assign characters to timed tasks, or construct specific rides and attractions in their park.
Gamers can unlock additional characters for their park by completing specific tasks and collecting character items. As characters are unlocked, users can upgrade them by collecting additional character items. These upgrades may unlock new tasks for characters to complete.
As players progress, they can keep their park guests happy by granting their wishes (tapping on them when a thought bubble is above their head). Players collect happiness points as they fulfill wishes, and will unlock new rewards for their park as they collect happiness points in bulk.
In addition, players can activate timed parades in their park, and will earn bonus rewards as they play the game while a parade is active. Players can add additional floats to their parade over time in order to earn better rewards.
In a statement, Gonzague de Vallois, senior vice president of publishing at Gameloft, commented:
Disney Magic Kingdoms is a triumph in both beautiful visuals and authentically inspired design that showcases everything beloved about the Disney Parks. We are delighted to provide Disney fans a new way to explore the Parks and interact with Disney characters and villains in a game which ties together 90 exceptional years of Disney in an adventure that takes us back to where it all began.
