Continuing Disney’s big week of mobile releases, Disney Interactive has announced the launch of DuckTales: Scrooge’s Loot on iOS. The game sees players helping the citizens of Duckburg retrieve Scrooge’s loot, which has been stolen by the naughty Beagle Boys.
The game features a single-player campaign complete with missions and quests across multiple maps, including an airstrip and western town. Players can choose one of four classes for their player character: adventurer, chef, inventor and pilot, with each coming with their own stats. Some may be more agile than others, for instance, while others may have higher strength.
Gameplay offers a virtual joystick scheme for moving and firing weapons. The left joystick controls players’ movement in the four cardinal directions, while the right stick controls firing. The camera is controlled by tapping and dragging a finger left, right, up or down on the screen to change its current angle.
Players have access to a variety of weapons, instant-healing items and more, but if they happen to fall in battle (or fall off of the map), they’ll have to wait a few moments (or pay premium currency) to respawn.
After mastering the single-player mode, players can take to battle against friends in the online multiplayer battle mode. Players can vote on the map they’d like to play on, and are then thrown into a race to collect as much treasure as possible before the enemy team can do the same. These matches are timed, with the team that collected the most treasure declared the winner.
DuckTales: Scrooge’s Loot is now available to download for free on iOS. The game is coming soon to Android. You can track its growth on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
