Disney Interactive announces Star Wars: Assault Team for mobile

Disney Interactive has announced its newest mobile game in the Star Wars franchise, Star Wars: Assault Team. The game is in limited “early access” in some international markets, and will launch globally later this year on iOS, Android and Windows 8 devices.

In Star Wars: Assault Team, players will collect cards representing their favorite characters from the Rebel Alliance in order to defeat enemies. Via early screenshots, we can see Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca as available characters, with players taking their heroes into turn-based battles to defeat enemies.

Players will complete missions across familiar planets and locations from the original trilogy of Star Wars films, and can track each character’s health via bars on the screen for additional strategy.
