A common theme in Facebook’s suggestions for how to adapt to the revamped News Feed it introduced Thursday is the redesign’s emphasis on photos and images. Application developers received similar advice from the social network.

Facebook said in a post on its developer blog that developers should optimize for high-resolution stories in the new News Feed’s games and music feeds by shooting for images that are 600 pixels by 600 pixels, with a minimum of 200 by 200.
