Delta Chooses to Ban In-Flight Voice Calls

According to the latest press release from Delta, the airline company has decided to ban in-flight calls, citing negative consumer feedback and common sense. The news came after the FCC loosened restrictions and allowed passengers to make calls during flight.

However, even the FCC’s Acting Chief, Roger Sherman, thought that listening to someone’s phone call would make flights disruptive and annoying.

Delta’s decision stems from a survey conducted in 2012, but since the FCC announcement, the public’s response  has been overwhelmingly negative.
