CTO Shuffle at MySpace

The changes atop MySpace have reached the chief technology officer level, as co-founder and CTO Aber Whitcomb is leaving the social-networking site and being replaced by current MySpace Music CTO Alex Maghen, chief operating officer Mike Jones announced.

Prior to MySpace Music, Maghen also held the CTO spot at Yahoo! Entertainment and MTV Networks.

Jones wrote:

As MySpace’s new CTO, Maghen will be responsible for managing the technical operations behind the MySpace platform, as well as the core platform-development and data-hosting infrastructure aspect of technology.
