MAU_E and DAU_E are estimated MAU and DAU values based on current performance data from Facebook and our 6-year-old database of historical Facebook application metrics. By analyzing trends in our database of almost 400 million measurements of how MAU and DAU function and move over time, our Data Scientists have been able to develop algorithms for estimating MAU and DAU values for Facebook applications.
Pretty Simple’s murder-happy hidden object game Criminal Case once again takes the top spot on our list of the fastest-growing Facebook games by daily active users, increasing by 15 percent for a gain of 286,778 DAU.
Playdom’s Disney City Girl is also starting to see some serious gains, up by 265,967 DAU for a 114 percent traffic increase. Cie Games’ Car Town came in at No. 3 with 228,557 DAU for a 56 percent gain. Nordeus’s soccer sim Top Eleven- Be a Football Manager grew by 7 percent with 205,450 DAU. Social Point’s Dragon City is continuing to grow, taking in 89,857 DAU for a 2 percent gain.
Three other games on this week’s list saw traffic gains above 100 percent. Tetris Online Inc.’s Bubble Pop Battle expanded by 334 percent with 39,389 DAU. PopCap’s goofy hidden object game Hidden Chronicles is up 179 percent with 35,656 DAU. Finally, Stunt Dirt Bike (which appeared at the top of last week’s emerging Facebook games) was up by 33,049 DAU for a 161 percent gain.
