Contestants Could Land a Job at Zynga in New CBS Reality Series

By Devon Glenn

CBS has announced a new reality series in which five contestants will compete for their dream jobs at a different company in each episode, including the social gaming company Zynga. Lisa Ling (“The View,” “Our America with Lisa Ling”) will host the rotating cast of hopeful job seekers and company executives. “The Job” airs on Friday, Feb. 8  at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

The maker of popular games like “Words with Friends,” “FarmVille,” “FarmVille 2,” and “Draw Something” currently has a long list of job offerings, but competition is fierce. Benefits at Zynga include free meals and snacks, 100 percent medical and dental coverage (75 percent for dependents), and “relaxation lounges” full of Nintendo, arcade games, Xbox 360, and PS3 gaming systems. The company’s vacation policy is  “please rest and take some days off.”

Viewers will have to wait to find out which job is up for grabs, as CBS would not reveal the job title or which executives will be on the panel in that episode. Also TBA are the guest companies that will come on the show to lure the candidates away with a job offer on the spot.

The show will cover a wide range of industries. The series premiere stars co-chairman and co-owner Wally Ganzi, EVP  Bruce Bozzi, Jr., and Palm Too general manager Janice Sheil of the Palm Restaurant Group, who will choose from five candidates a new assistant manager for the fine-dining steakhouse.
