The Facebook page of former Secretary of State Colin Powell has been restored after suffering a hacking attack earlier Monday.

Gawker reported that Powell’s page began posting offensive status reports that were aimed at former President George W. Bush, whose administration Powell was part of, and the hacker went as far as to threaten Facebook users who posted to Powell’s page to warn him that he had been hacked.

Powell, or the administrator of his page, credited Facebook with quick action, posting early Monday afternoon:

Dear Friends, I’m happy to report that the hacking problem has been fixed.
