CMT One Country and Sheba Honor Nashville Cat Rescue Volunteers (Because Internet Celebrity Cats Have to Start Somewhere)

Before they went viral on social media sites, Lil Bub and Hamilton the Hipster Cat were rescued from shelters and placed in loving, tech-savvy homes.

On June 2, CMT One Country teamed up with Sheba to reward hard-working volunteers at the Nashville Cat Rescue with a rooftop party and a concert by “American Idol” star Janelle Arthur at the Aerial Penthouse in Nashville, TN.

Anthony Barton, SVP of integrated marketing for CMT, and Lucia Folk, senior director of public affairs for CMT, described the lavish affair as a “cat’s paradise” with a giant bird cage, cat food candelabras, and pictures of adoptable cats in gold frames.
