nWay’s Facebook game ChronoBlade will come out of the dark and launch in open beta this month, the developer has announced.
ChronoBlade places players in the role of a “dimension-hopping hero,” as they travel across the universe, protecting worlds from the evil group known as the Chronarch Imperium. The game features side-scrolling hack-n-slash gameplay that challenges players to defeat waves of enemies with combos, special abilities, and other weapons. As players battle, they’ll earn experience points, unlocking new customizations, skill trees, and loot for their hero.
“Our goal with ChronoBlade is to develop a category-defining action RPG for new game platforms,” said Taehoon Kim, CEO of nWay. “Starting on the web browser, with more access points coming soon on mobile, tablets, and TVs, we’ll be delivering the first true action RPG experience yet with real-time multiplayer bringing players together no matter which platform they are playing on.”
ChronoBlade will launch in open beta on Facebook on June 26. The beta will include a single-player story mode, as well as cross-platform competitive multiplayer. The game will eventually come to Android, iOS, and Smart TVs, and a demo of the game is now available to download on the Ouya. Players interested in receiving early access to the game can learn more at the game’s official website, ChronoBlade.com.
