Christmas, Causes, Spotify, Holiday Cards, Tabs and More on This Week’s Top 20 Growing Facebook Apps by MAU

Tabs, as well as Causes, Family Tree, and a few Christmas apps, made our list of the fastest growing Facebook apps by monthly active users this week. The titles on our list gained the most MAU of any apps on the platform, growing from between 300,000 and 1.5 million MAU, based on AppData, our data tracking service covering traffic growth for apps on Facebook. Then it seems the holiday season inspired people to give via the Causes app which grew by 800,000 MAU. Genealogy app Family Tree grew by 700,000 MAU, comedy app JibJab grew by 700,000 MAU, and the Portuguese cell phone app for Facebook users, MeuChip, grew by the same number. Quiz app 21 Preguntas grew by 400,000 MAU; the app allows users to answer questions about their friends, generating feed stories. Merry Christmas | Feliz Navidad grew by 400,000 MAU, and publishes a photo with a user’s friends as ornaments, tagging them and also publishing a feed story. Another Christmas app, Holiday Card List ★, grew by 300,000 MAU. This app creates a custom holiday card for the user, then proposes to send it to all of the users’ Facebook friends at once, forcing the user to uncheck each friends to whom you do not want to send the card. Rounding out the list was Spotify with 400,000 MAU, Yahoo grew by 400,000 MAU, Simify App grew by 350,000 MAU, and allows users to transform one of their photos into a Sims character. MiCalendario - Cumpleaños was the last app on our list, and grew by 300,000 MAU, by allowing users to create a customized calendar, but asking them to invite their friends tease out first.
