Cathedral Publishing Lets Authors Sell Songs In eBooks

Whether or not eBooks should have soundtracks is controversial, at least among eBookNewser readers. But for those that like the idea, Cathedral Publishing, a company that makes multimedia publishing tools, has a new application available that lets authors sell songs from within an eBook.

The tool called “Book IS the Store,” is intended for self-published authors who also might be musicians. Authors can use the tool to embed songs into their eBook as a soundtrack and then sell the songs as MP3s through links within the store.

Cathedral Rock used this application in the company’s own self-published eBook called Cathedral of the Senses.
