The vast majority of social media users in Brazil are young people, reveals a new study.
Site visitor data from Experian Marketing Services found that more than half (54.4 percent) of Brazilian social networkers were aged 18-24. Additionally, almost three in ten (29.8 percent) were 25-34 years old, meaning that more than 84 percent of all social media profiles in Brazil are controlled by users aged 34 years of age or less.
Conversely, just 3.2 percent of users are aged 45 years or older.
eMarketer estimates that there are 78.1 million social media users in Brazil – 72 million on Facebook and 12.1 million on Twitter.
