BookShout said Facebook users who connect the two services can also preview any book available via its store by using its “look inside” feature, adding that users of both services can easily share books they have read, are reading, or would like to read.
The new Facebook integration rolled out on the Web, and BookShout said it will be extended to iOS and Android “soon,” as well.
BookShout CEO Jason Illian said in a release announcing the integration:
We’re fortunate to have great visionary partners, including technology leaders like Facebook and major publishers that are seeking new ways to engage with readers. Integrating book discovery and sharing with Facebook not only adds value for readers, but also delivers new sales channels for publishers and authors.
