After 8 months of hard work and over 5,000 photos, YouTuber Kyle Roberts has just released ‘Battle Of The Bonds’, an epic YouTube stop motion starring a whole slew of action figures, and the voices of some of YouTube’s biggest celebs.  ‘Battle Of The Bonds’ examines the all-important question, “Which Bond was the best Bond?” (Sean Connery, Duh!) Read on to find out more about the project and to watch the video.

‘Battle Of The Bonds’ was created by Roberts, who is a YouTube partner and the owner of Reckless Abandonment Pictures, an Oklahoma City-based film company.  The project was sponsored by Speeding Bullet Comics and The Toy and Action Figure Museum.  You may recognize the voices of some of your favorite YouTubers in the video as well, including DaneBo of The Annoying Orange, Brittani Louise Taylor and Zack ScottStf Bidelspach contributed the original ‘Battle Of The Bonds’ theme song.

If you’ve never made a stop motion animation yourself, it can be hard to imagine the amount of work that goes into it.  Roberts said, “Since it’s all stop motion, move take a picture, move take a picture…I basically had to have 4 or more hours at a time to shoot the project, that would be equivalent to 3 seconds of the film not including all the special effects.”

Roberts talks about his inspiration, saying that he and his crew were looking to do something action-packed.  “I wanted to mix special effects with stop motion, and just figured what better way than to do a James Bond parody!  I hope this is something fans can enjoy and kind of get their Bond fill until the next blockbuster.”

After eight months of hard work the animation has finally hit YouTube, with over 11,000 views in the first two days.  Check it out below and let us know what you think.  Oh, and don’t for get to tell us who your favorite Bond is!
