BlackBerry is this week’s top gainer in the People Talking About This metric for electronic pages. The wireless handheld device company saw just under one million additional engagements across its 17 region specific pages totaling to 24 million page Likes.
Of the top 10 pages, nine are telecommunications related. Only BlackBerry is a global page, five are region-specific pages and three are product specific. Nokia is not a global page yet, but still has over 9 million Likes.

BlackBerry hosted a launch event for its new BlackBerry 10 operating system late last week. At the same event, it also announced that it would be rebranding its company name from Research in Motion to BlackBerry, making it a big week for announcements for the company. BlackBerry ran its first Super Bowl ad this past Sunday which also helped to bolster its PTAT for the United States page.
Nokia’s Facebook page does more than highlight its newest products. A page post featuring an old model of one of its phones went viral this week. However, Nokia has multiple region-specific pages and would benefit from adopting global pages. If the company were to use global pages, it is likely it would be the top gaining page this week.
