Online security provider Bitdefender warned of yet another scam that is going viral on Facebook, involving nonexistent naked videos of users’ friends.
According to Bitdefender, more than 6,000 websites have been registered for malicious purposes associated with this scam, in which phrases used as bait include “user’s name private video,” “user’s name naked video,” and “XXX private video.”
Clicking on the links takes users to a fake YouTube page, complete with a warning that the videos are age-restricted and a counter boasting of more than 2 million views.
Users are told that Flash must be reinstalled, but what is actually installed is Trojan.FakeFlash.A
