Bing users can now interact with Facebook posts directly from the search engine’s social sidebar, Microsoft said today.

Bing’s social sidebar displays content from Facebook and Twitter that is relevant to the user’s search query. With the new integration, users can interact with posts that Bing turns up as relevant.

“Now you can see what your friends might know about what you’re searching for and engage with them directly without leaving the search page,” wrote program manager Nektarios Ioannides on a company blog.

For instance, if a user searches for Beyoncé, he might see a post in the social sidebar from a Facebook friend who says she has an extra ticket to an upcoming concert.
