Life In A Day originally asked users to submit videos of moments from their lives, inviting them to join a project which could show their footage to the world. In July she posted a special Facebook-specific thank you video, concluding by saying “become my friend on Facebook, I’ll never forget you”. By making believe they’re responsible for her success, they feel compelled to obey requests to vote for Lady Gaga in polls, click links, buy music, and follow other calls to action.
