BBC, Pact Squabble Over iPlayer Access Outside of U.K.

The British Broadcasting Corp. announced plans to make its iPlayer video-on-demand service available to subscribers while they are traveling to other countries, but Pact, the trade group representing U.K. independent feature film, television, digital, children’s, and animation media companies, voiced its opposition almost immediately, paidContent:UK reported in these two posts: here and here.
