Barnes & Noble eBook Inaccessible To Reader Whose Credit Card Has Expired

People wary of buying digital media are often concerned that the digital files that they purchase are not as tangible as physical media like a book or CD. Consumerist has a report that supports this fear.

One Consumerist reader sent this email after experiencing problems downloading a title that they had already purchased because of a credit card expiration.

Yesterday, I tried to download an ebook I paid for, and previously put on my Nook, a few months ago. When I tried, I got an error message stating I could not download the book because the credit card on file had expired.
