Investors are always looking for a bang for their bucks, but maybe not the kind that users of Facebook application Bang with Friends are pursuing. However, something about the hookup app drew investors’ attention, as Business Insider reported that the app is in the process of raising $1 million in a seed round, with sources saying that Tim Draper and Great Oaks Venture Capital are already in.
Bang with Friends told Business Insider last month that it had some 820,000 users and had matched up about 200,000 couples. The app works by allowing users to choose Facebook friends they would like to get to know via a more intimate type of poke and send them nudges. If the feeling is mutual, the two co-conspirators can arrange to meet up.
