Reeves’ No. 1 goal when working with brands during Pride Month is to move them “away from the rainbow,” he says. Instead of relying on colorful tactics to show support for the LGBTQ+ community, he and his creative agency, RanaVerse, have collaborated with major brands, including Unilever and Coach, to move beyond messaging of acceptance and into that of equity to show how people in the community “exist in a whole heap of different intersections,” Reeves says, adding that he links “purpose, culture and commerce” in everything RanaVerse does.
