With a background in public service, Ashley Allen brings a broad wealth of experience to her role at Oatly. “At heart, I’m a climate champion,” she told Adweek. While working on climate mitigation and environmental policy, Allen witnessed firsthand the power of brands in the fight against climate change. She moved to the private sector in 2017, spending three years at Mars before joining Oatly in 2020, working closely with its marketing department. Allen’s mission is to convert dairy milk drinkers to oat milk drinkers, which lowers climate impact by 50-75%, all while keeping the sustainability footprint of Oatly’s business as low as possible and maintaining transparency along the way.
