Australian Bookseller Plans to Deliver Textbooks with Drones

Flirty is a new start-up down under that’s planning to use drone technology to bring students their heavy reading materials. The UAV (unmanned aerial vehicles) company is teaming up with textbook retailer Zookal, to test drone product delivery in Australia next year before bringing the service to the US in 2015.

Flirty claims each UAV delivery will save the company from $8.60 AUD to  80 cents, compared to traditional methods. Naturally, the service will come with GPS tracking for each parcel so recipients can view their purchase flying to them on their own mobile device.
