Apple released its Apple TV Remote app, which allows users to control their Apple TV devices using their iPhones and iPads.
Apple released its Apple TV Remote application, which allows users to control their Apple TV devices using their iPhones and iPads. The remote app is compatible with Apple TV devices going back to the second generation.
The Apple TV Remote app allows users to navigate Apple TV menus using touch gestures, as well as to enter text (like email addresses and passwords) using a keyboard in the app. While watching videos or listening to music, the app can be used to pause and control the content.
While Apple TV owners already had access to a similar remote app called iTunes Remote, the Apple TV Remote app includes Siri support, while iTunes Remote does not.
