AppBrain Now Supports Direct Installation Of Android Apps

One of the enhancements to Android that is in Android 2.2 (Froyo) is third party access to Google’s push notification system. Third parties can use the system to send notifications to phones running Android in a way that is even more powerful than what Google currently uses because the notifications can actually initiate actions. I’ve written about the Chrome To Phone application that adds an extension to Google Chrome for sending URLs and other information to Android phones that are running the app.
