When you install a new app on your smartphone, do you leave push notifications on?
If so, you’re far more likely to continue to use and engage with that app, reveals a new study from Localytics.
Tracking data on their own platform, Localytics found that app engagement was 88 percent higher on average amongst mobile app users worldwide who had enabled push notifications on their devices.
Some app categories registered a more dramatic boost than others, with e-commerce apps clocking an incredible 288 percent launch growth due to push notifications. Social networking apps saw a relatively modest but still significant 60 percent uptick.
