You can’t fight City Hall, the old saying goes, but communications with municipal governments can be easier with the use of the Citizen Request Tracker Facebook application from CivicPlus.
The CRT Facebook app is part of the CivicPlus CRT Suite, available to local governments for a monthly fee, offers citizens the ability to report non-emergency issues via municipal websites or its iPhone app. The Facebook app extends that ability to the social network.
Users choose from a list of categories to classify their issues, fill out an online form, and submit it, with the requests automatically routed to the appropriate municipal departments.
The application also includes a history tab, which allows users to track progress and comments.
