Image via Cal has announced the release of its all-in-one calendar app Cal on Android devices, complete with new features specifically for Android users. The app was released on iOS last summer, and offers the ability for users to keep track of all of their day-to-day meetings, as well as to-do lists, events and more, without swapping between multiple apps.

Cal was built to “[turn] your everyday calendar into something you enjoy using,” says The app offers a look at all of a day’s events, complete with images of contacts, “‘to do” lists without an assigned time (like a grocery list), notes, reminders, Google Maps for navigation and suggestions for nearby locations where it might be fun to meet friends.

For Android users, the app offers an Android widget, giving users an overview of their day from the home screen of their device. It also offers landscape viewing mode, for a larger view of the calendar and specific events.

Cal offers real-time syncing of information with Google Calendar, Exchange and more existing calendar services. Finally, users are able to bring task lists from their app right into Cal, matching the appropriate times and places for an easily merged schedule.

“With every release and every new user, Cal gets smarter to become a truly intuitive time management app that gives you exactly what you need when you need it,” said in a company announcement. “We’ve got big plans for building the next generation of life management tools to help people have more of those magical, perfectly synchronized days where the right things get done at the right time.”

Cal is now available to download for free on Android and iOS. Check back soon to follow it on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
