Android keyboard SwiftKey gets cloud support for stored personalizations

Android keyboard SwiftKey has received cloud support this week, as SwiftKey has announced SwiftKey Cloud, a service for users that backs-up all of their valuable data in the event that they lose or upgrade their phones.

SwiftKey is advertised as a learning keyboard, as the program analyzes the way users type and then learns to predict words in the future based on repeated habits (like the spellings of unique names, for instance). The more consumers use SwiftKey, which replaces an Android device’s standard keyboard, the more the program learns and the better the experience becomes.

Previously, when users lost or upgraded their phones, they would have to start this learning process all over again from square one.
