Android Battery Life

The T-Mobile G1, which was the first Android smartphone, did not have very good battery life. I found it impossible for me to get through an entire day without charging up the G1. When the T-Mobile myTouch 3G shipped about seven months later I jumped at it when I learned it had better battery life than the G1, and indeed I was able to get through a work day without having to charge the myTouch.
